Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

  • How long is a typical coaching engagement?

It depends—coaching is customized to your needs. Each 1-hour session is fully tailored to your goals, challenges, and career stage. A typical contract includes 10 sessions, though engagements can be adjusted based on your specific objectives and timeline.

  • What does a coaching session look like?

Every session is designed around your specific needs. In each 1-hour session, you'll receive focused conversation tailored to your situation, strategic insight rooted in real-world human capital expertise, and clear next steps to move forward with confidence. No templates, no one-size-fits-all—just personalized guidance.

  • Do you offer virtual, in-person, or both?

Both. For clients in the New York Metro area, in-person sessions are available. For all others, sessions are conducted virtually. Every engagement begins with an initial consultation where we'll customize your coaching plan based on your goals.

  • How do I get started?

Book an initial consultation through my Calendly. During this $250 consultation, we'll discuss your goals and customize an approach that may draw from various coaching methods to address your specific growth areas.

  • What's your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

Sessions can be rescheduled with 24-hour notice.

Contract cancellations are accepted within the initial 2 weeks, with a refund provided for unused sessions. After 2 weeks, coaching contracts are non-refundable, but unused sessions remain valid for 6 months from the contract signing date and can be rescheduled as needed within that timeframe.

In cases of documented medical emergency, family crisis, or significant financial hardship, exceptions may be considered at Geneèn's discretion.

    Digital Products
We do not offer refunds on digital products, subscription services, or access to the Mavens 101 Resource Center once access has been granted.

  • What results can I expect from coaching?

Every engagement is designed to deliver measurable outcomes: sharper decision-making, stronger leadership presence, improved team engagement, and accelerated career momentum. Whether you're navigating a transition, preparing for a new role, or reigniting your path after a career pause, you'll leave each session with clear strategies and the confidence to execute them.

  • How is coaching different from mentoring or therapy?

Coaching is not clinical or therapeutic. It's a professional development service focused on future growth, action, and strategy—not mental health support. Unlike mentoring, which often involves advice from someone in your field, coaching helps you discover your own solutions through guided exploration and accountability.

  • Do you provide resources or materials between sessions?

Yes. Clients receive access to the Mavens 101 Resource Center and Notion board with tools, templates, and materials to support your development between sessions.

  • What's your pricing structure?

Geneèn's rate is $350 per hour. A typical contract engagement includes 10 sessions. Payment for the full contract is due at time of signing.

  • Do you offer package discounts or payment plans?

I'm happy to discuss options that work for your situation. Let's talk during your initial consultation.

  • Can I try a single session before committing to a program?

I offer $250 initial consultations where we'll explore your goals and determine the best coaching approach for you. This allows us to ensure we're a good fit before you commit to a full program.

  • What's your coaching philosophy?

I believe in meeting you where you are and building from there. Coaching should be practical, actionable, and rooted in real-world expertise. My approach blends evidence-based frameworks with the insight I've gained as a former Chief People Officer, ensuring every session delivers strategies you can immediately apply to your career.

  • What industries/sectors do you specialize in?

I'm industry-agnostic and have coached professionals across finance, advertising, hospitality, and beyond. The principles of effective career development, leadership, and professional growth apply across sectors.

  • Are you certified?

I've worked with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and am guided by the ICF Code of Ethics in my practice. I bring certified people development methodologies and frameworks to my coaching work.
